Fairwood Elementary PTO

The PTO is proud to announce we are opening a school store for the students. We are so excited to offer this to the kids. A flyer went out the other day with some information and a letter should be coming home today (Friday August 31st with even more information. Most of the items will be priced from 1-2 dollars. There will also be a toy bin that the kids can pick from if they bring in 2 box tops. The shop will be open weekly with designated groups getting to shop every two weeks. We open Tuesday Sept. 4th with PreK-K shopping, Thursday Sept. 6th 1-2 Pod, Tuesday Sept. 11th 3-4 Pod and Thursday Sept. 13th 5-6 Pod. We will also have a special shopping day during lunch on the stage every third Wednesday of the month.

We hope the kids are as ectied as we are and we hope you will let us know what your kids or you would like to see added to the store.

PTO Meetings

Our PTO meetings will be held the 1st Monday of each month. Excluding a few where a holiday falls on that day. September will be our first PTO meeting of the school year. It will be held Monday September 10th at 4:15pm at the school. We will discuss upcoming events and bring up new ideas.  We hope that you will join us.

Upcoming Events

School store opening Sept. 4th. This is a new project for this school year. The PTO is so excited for it. Most items will be priced from 1-2 dollars. The kids can also bring in two box tops and be able to pick from our toy bin.

Popcorn Fridays: Will make their return in September. They will continue to fall on the 4th Friday of each month. Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles anyone you can think of can help fill popcorn bags and deliver them to the  classrooms. We start bagging around 9am and hope to be done by 1pm.

Book Fair: October 4th-11th will be Book Fair. This event is great for the kids to be able to do some shopping for some new books to fall in love with. Volunteers are also needed for this event. Check out our volunteer page for a link to the calendar.
